MHC Alumni
A special kind of family. That’s how many of our alumni describe the strong bonds that held them together at the Methodist Orphanage … a closeness that feels more like brothers and sisters than friends. Over the years, children who arrived alone made their own family with each other, sharing their thoughts and secrets and hopes, growing up together. Such close ties make annual Easter weekend reunions very special.

This page is dedicated to the alumni who grew up in the Methodist Orphanage and all those who have "graduated" from our group homes and other programs.

The Methodist Orphanage/Methodist Home for Children Alumni Association

supports a "Staying in Touch" program that supports brothers and sisters who are ill, lonely, or grieving;
helps alumni keep in touch with each other and reconnect with old friends;
organizes an annual reunion in Raleigh each Easter weekend;
has picnics, breakfasts, and other laughter-filled events
sponsors the annual Andy Kanas Memorial Golf Tournament to benefit MHC’s services and programs; and
"gives back" to MHC through the Alumni Endowment Fund and other special contributions.
